FAQ

Where are you based and do you travel?

I'm based just Northwest of LA and YES, I am happiest when I can combine my love of photography and passion of travel. I am an experienced traveler, which is important when considering booking for an out-of-state or international wedding, elopement, or shoot. Another huge pro of bringing me with, is you won't get the same cookie-cutter images that someone the hotel includes might provide. I'm coming in with fresh eyes and am passionate about YOU and capturing your day in an artistic, lovely way, no matter the location.

How many weddings do you do a year?

It's really important to me that I provide quality work and have the time to communicate and plan with my couples. With that being said, I only take 15-20 weddings a year.

How do we book you?

The first step is to fill out the contact form. If I'm available, we're a good match, and I can provide you with the photography you're looking for, we can absolutely move forward. I will send you a formal proposal, contract, and 30% retainer invoice to secure me as your photographer.

Are you hands-on?

Yes, I can absolutely be hands-on. For elopements and weddings, I provide a 27-page preparation guide that includes tips, tricks, and planning advice from a photography point-of-view. I love giving input on the location, timeline, family photo lists, if you want!
I can be as hands-on or hands-off as you wish.

What is the turnaround time for images?

For regular sessions (family, portrait, engagement, etc.) you will receive your gallery in about 14 days. For micro-weddings and elopements, my turnaround is about 30 days. For full-day weddings, my turnaround is about 60 days.

How long have you been doing this professionally?

I have been a photographer for over a decade and doing it professionally for 7 years.

What happens if there's bad weather?

Let me tell you, overcast is my FAVORITE! It creates one huge soft-box in the sky for beautiful lighting. If it's raining and we have the flexibility to reschedule, we most definitely can - although if you're up for it, shooting in the rain is freakin' fun and makes for epic photos!

Will you give us the RAW files?

Nope, I will not. A RAW photo is a half-finished product. A painter would not give away a portrait before painting the eyes, nose, and mouth. Whether you're displaying your photos on the walls in your home, on your social media pages, or with friends, I want the finished artwork to be displayed. Trust me, you'll be happier this way too.

What is your preferred place of contact/communication? And what is your response time?

The best and quickest place to reach me is email. I will do my best to be accommodating if you prefer elsewhere. I am running the full show over here to ensure this is a personalized and beautiful experience for you, so please be patient with my response. You will usually hear from me within 48 hours.
